A rifle so great it has only been modified a couple of times since 1894. Hence the model '94. AE designates that this modern version is an "angle eject," making it possible to have a scope mounted. In this case it is a Leupold 9 power.
While I agree with Kim duToit's general opinion of not using scopes for the reasons he cites, I like the assurance of taking shots on deer that will absolutely fell them on the first shot.
